By Face/Murdock, do you mean nice scenes together, or are you specifically looking for something slashy? Can't help you with the latter, as my slash goggles have an A-Team blind spot, but practically every episode has great interaction between the two of them. Starting with season one, "Children Of Jamestown", which is the first proper episode screened, manages to be full of great scenes between them, even though Murdock's hardly in it! "Till Death Do Us Part" has some lovely little bits, and "Nice Place To Visit" has them together almost all the way through.

Moving on to season two, "The Only Church In Town" is the one where they go undercover together as nuns. That's definitely a classic. "There's Always A Catch" is a good one. Check out the little bit when they're testing out their gear before making their dive. "Bad Time On The Border" has some nice scenes when Hannibal has been captured, and Face has to take command. "When You Comin' Back, Range Rider?" is about cowboys, so I have to recommend that one anyway. It's the law. "The Maltese Cow" is full of good stuff, and so's "Steel" (the one when Murdock thinks he's a dog, and Face has nice doggy biscuits). Then "Deadly Manoeuvres" and "Curtain Call" go without saying. Oh, and isn't "Diamonds 'n' Dust the season opener? That one has them pulling that lovely scam, when Murdock has an English accent. And "In Plane Sight". And "Pure-Dee Poison". And is it "The Taxicab Wars" when Face wears that pimp outfit?!

Season three... "The Bend In The River" has some good interaction. They're brilliant together in "Fire!" and "Timber!", and Murdock is quite nicely supportive of Face in "Hot Styles". They're sparking off each other very nicely in "Trouble Brewing", and then "Incident At Crystal Lake" has some lovely scenes between them.

Season four... "Judgement Day" is all round brilliance. They have some fun in fancy dress in that one as well. "The Doctor Is Out" is a very good Face and Murdock adventure. "Cowboy George" has some good scenes with them messing around together. "The Trouble With Harry" has them together the whole time, repeatedly getting kidnapped by different sets of gangsters.

The entire series, basically.

Season five I am not a fan of, so I've not seen it in years, but iirc there's "Family Reunion", "The Theory Of Revolution", and that one when Hannibal disappears. "Point Of No Return", I think. "Crystal Skull" is a Face and Murdock one, but it's pretty excruciating. Most people would probably add "Without Reservations", but Face spends most of that episode unconscious on the floor, so the interaction is pretty limited.

I hope you have plenty of time on your hands. ;)

Wow! Thank you SO much :D
I only really remember S1 the best so this is incredibly helpful *yay* :)

Slashy or non-slashy, just wherever they happen to be in a scene together is what I was looking for, so this is awesome! :D

I wish I could point you at the out-takes. They used to show up on TV a lot in the old days, but they haven't surfaced in years. I had hoped that they'd be included on the DVDs, but no such luck. Now they were good for Face and Murdock! Or Dirk and Dwight, anyway. Might be worth checking YouTube, I suppose. Somebody might have saved a few.

*squee* I so totally need to find those *bounces* :D

Say, you wouldn't happen to have a list of Murdock injury episodes/clips would you? Any type of injury at all :O

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head is Curtain Call and A Sound of Thunder? :O
swordznsorcery: face3swordznsorcery on February 8th, 2011 01:55 am (UTC)
It doesn't happen often. Face is the one who usually gets banged about! They crash a plane in "Holiday In The Hills" (season one), but are all mostly okay. He gets blinded by powder burns in "The Beast in The Belly Of The Boeing" (also season one), and he and Face get into a pretty big fight in "Nice Place To Visit", again from that season. There's also another plane crash in "Till Death Do Us Part".

In season two, they all get knocked about a lot by the big gangster in "The Maltese Cow". You could probably count "Deadly Manoeuvres" too. "Curtain Call" you already know about.

In season three, a tree lands on him in "Timber!", and I think he gets himself in some bother in "Knights Of The Road". That season also has "Bounty", which is his episode, but it's not one that I tend to re-watch, so I don't really remember the details. He and Face get kidnapped in "The Doctor Is Out", and I guess he gets roughed up a little there. If I'm remembering my episodes right, it's in "Cowboy George" that the stress nearly sends him into premature labour. Then "The Trouble With Harry", is pretty much forty-five minutes of beating up on both Face and Murdock. "Sound Of Thunder" you mentioned.

Season five... Face slugs him in "Family Reunion". Beyond that I don't know.

Oh, I forgot "Belly of a Boeing" *facepalm* that's one of my favourites :D

If I'm remembering my episodes right, it's in "Cowboy George" that the stress nearly sends him into premature labour.

*ROFL* omg I am SO going to have to re-watch that episode ;P

Another awesome list! *yay* :D

Just as a warning, though, I'm going completely from memory here, and it's been a couple of years since I watched the show. It's possible you might find more help if you ask your questions over at ateamfans.

I watched a couple of your recommendations last night and so far, you're spot on with your picks :D

I was wondering, do you recognize any of the episodes these pictures come from? I know I've watched the episodes, but I can't remember their names :{

#1 is probably "The White Ballot".

#2 I think must be "Nice Place To Visit". Only time I can remember them both being in uniform with their real names on them!

#3 is "The Doctor Is Out", when Face is in his Jack Harkness outfit.

#4 is "One More Time". I love that episode. :)

#5 might be "Moving Targets". Pasadena Murdock! Looks like the scene where he and BA have just rescued Face.

#6 not entirely sure, but I will go out on a limb and say "Judgement Day".

Heh, I take it from your icon that you are NOT a fan of new female Starbuck ;)

OMG you are so freakin awesome!!! Thank you so much :D
I watched Timber last night *yay* great episode, lots of really cool Face/Murdock bits in it :D
Can't wait to watch more tonight ;)
(thank god for having all five box sets *woohoo*)

new female Starbuck

... Who?!

"Timber!" is a fun episode. Always did like that one. It's one of the ones that was novelised, too, so I know it better than most. The big chase towards the end with the logging rig is much better in the book, though!

Mind you, the book doesn't have Murdock doing very strange things in bed to a half-naked Face, so maybe that makes it even.

I only have two A-TEam books so far, and that isn't one of them *darnit*
Must see if I can track it down :)

*heeeeeee* even trade then? Altho, I like Murdock being his adorable strange self and half naked Face ;)
swordznsorcery: mentalistswordznsorcery on February 9th, 2011 09:11 pm (UTC)
Not sure that I can in all good conscience recommend the novelisations, though. :D Book #9 (The Bend In The River) has bullet-riddled bodies washed up at the sides of the river after one of the A-Team's gun battles; and book #10 (Till Death Do Us Part) has a quite hilarious scene where Face suddenly rants to his temporary wife about how she's rich, and he's a poor street kid, and so she represents everything that he's been fighting against all of his life.

They're entertaining, but they're nearly as out of character as most fanfic. Book #6 is pretty awesome, though. Definitely hunt that one out if you can.

Ooooh, that's a pretty icon :O

Yeah, I've heard the books aren't well written for the most part :{
Which one is #6?
swordznsorcery: doc8swordznsorcery on February 10th, 2011 08:56 pm (UTC)
Oh, they're not badly written. In terms of the mechanics of writing, sentence construction, etc, they're way ahead of a lot of TV tie-ins. Most of them just fail to capture the sense of fun that the show had. Least said about the Max Hart one (book ten) the better, but the Charles Heath ones (the first six) are perfectly good reads. Most of them just seem rather dry, that's all. The two Ron Renauld ones (seven and eight) manage to get some of the fun back, but feel like they were knocked out over a weekend; and then the David George Deutsch one (nine) is well written again, but seems to be about an AU A-Team where people die bloodthirstily. Also it has a splendid continuity error in it, where the team in their cages go from being tied up, to not being tied up, to being tied up again in the space of one scene. :D Mind you, that happened in the TV series too, so...

Where was I?! Oh yes. Book six. It's called "The Untold Story", and is set in 1973. Hannibal, BA and Face are just getting set up back in LA, and getting back in contact with Murdock, when their first mission comes up. Cue them beetling off to a fictional country, with much shenanigans with dodgy foreign types, and a huge old stone prison in the middle of the desert. It's really rather enjoyable.
Green_Wing: DW - Ten/River (my otp)green_wing on February 11th, 2011 01:13 am (UTC)
The same can be said of move movie novelisations, they follow the script (sometimes not even the right script) and even tho they have more information, they lose some of what makes a movie great *sigh*

I'll probably still end up buying them, purely for the joy of owning them *LOL* I'm a perfectionist like that ;)

Oh wow, that book sounds great! *has a quick rummage on TradeMe* oh boy, someone's selling it *happy dance* I'm SO bidding on that :P

I always wondered what their first mission would be like :D
